Tomislav Stanich, Concert Pianist: A Short Biography

Tomislav Stanich was born in Herceg-Novi on the 4th of December, 1957. He grew up surrounded by art on the beautiful Mediterranean coast of Montenegro (Southeastern Europe). Mr. Stanich studied the piano under the tutelage of Milena Lucic at the Music Elementary State School in Herceg-Novi. Later, he attended the High Music School, "Luka Sorkocevic", in Dubrovnik (Croatia), studying under Professor Ivo Brangjolica. He then went on to graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts and Sciences (Academy of Music), in Belgrade (Serbia), earning his Bachelor of Arts degree under the tutelage of the Russian pianist, Igor Laszko. He received a scholarship and studied at the Paris Conservatory with Professor Theodore Parascivesco. Thereafter, he was awarded the Department of Music Scholarship at the University of Utah, and there earned a Master's Degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Gladys Rosenberg Gladstone and Douglas Humphreys. He currently teaches and performs in Salt Lake City, where he is an Adjunct Professor at the Salt Lake Community College. He travels and performs overseas regularly.
